"Our life has become miserable due to these toxic gases," the plea said.
In an order dated August 12, a bench of judicial member Justice Arun Kumar Tyagi and expert member A Senthil Vel said, "The averments made in the application prima facie raise substantial questions relating to environment."
"In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, we consider it appropriate that a joint committee be constituted with the direction to verify the factual position and to suggest appropriate remedial measures," the tribunal said.
