8-year-old boy drowns in deep pool at Agra water park

Deputy commissioner of police (Rural) Aditya Singh said police reached the water park after receiving information about the death of the child.

An eight-year-old boy allegedly drowned in a deep water pool at a private water park in the Kirawali area of Agra on Sunday. Police said the child’s body was sent for post-mortem examination, but no complaint had been lodged by the family till Monday.

Deputy commissioner of police (Rural) Aditya Singh said police reached the water park after receiving information about the death of the child.

Police sources said the boy had gone to the water park with his parents on Sunday. During the visit, he wandered away on his own inside the premises. When the parents could not find him, they started searching for him. His body was later recovered from a section with deep water. DCP Aditya Singh said the family had not filed any complaint so far, but if a complaint is lodged, police will take action accordingly.
