Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad police commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey was conferred the President’s Police Medal (PPM) for his distinguished service in administration at an investiture ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai on Friday.

Maharashtra governor Jishnu Dev Varma presented the medal to Choubey at the ceremony held at the Darbar Hall at 3 pm on October 9.

The medal was announced by the President of India on August 15, 2023, in recognition of Choubey’s notable contributions to administrative service.
The honour recognises his distinguished service and dedication to duty, the police said, adding that the recognition is a matter of pride for the Pimpri-Chinchwad police force.
