Teachers play a vital role in our lives. They have supported us, motivated us and helped us realise a better future. A teacher wants to provide everything she can for the success and happiness of the student. They work hard and receive the least amount of recognition.

The happy faces of the students are their ultimate reward. Their dedication is unwavering and their love is unconditional.

From the ancient times, we are taught to respect our teachers. It is said that if god is displeased with us, our teachers will provide a solution to it; but when our teachers are displeased with us, there’s no one to provide a solution.

Therefore, the place of a teacher is unique in its own way and we all must respect it.

Times have changed, but love hasn’t. The love of a teacher for her student only grows with time. It deepens with age and never fades. A teacher may not always express her love to the student, but she does it through her actions.

She may be strict, angry, critical, but deep inside she is full of love and affection. She is soft to the core. The bond that a student shares with her teacher is one of the most wonderful relationships in the world. With the advent of technology and modernity, the teacher-student relationship has undergone a transformation, but the innate bond remains intact.

The birth date of the second President of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is commemorated as Teachers’ Day in India. It is a good day to take some time out of our busy schedules to thank those wonderful people who have made our lives more meaningful.
