27 cameras for each of World T20 Championship match: ESPN MD

The official broadcasters of the ICC World Twenty20 Championship ESPN Star Sports will be installing 27 cameras for each of the 27 matches during the upcoming World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka strating September 18.

The official broadcasters of the ICC World Twenty20 Championship ESPN Star Sports will be installing 27 cameras for each of the 27 matches during the upcoming World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka strating September 18.

"We will have 27 cameras for each of the matches. We will also have Touch Screen cricket presentation tool in our analysis hows round live coverage," informed Alok Malik, who is the Managing Director of ESPN Software India Private Limited.

The cricket lovers have got a taste of Touch Screen presentation during the first Test between India and New Zealand in Hyderabad.

Malik also informed that in terms of on-air sales, the broadcasters have sold close to 80 percent of the total available inventory as on date.

"We have signed two joint presenting sponsors in Reliance and Havells. Some of the co-sponsors are Pepsico, Hyundai, Pernod Ricard, Nokia, Tata Motors."

Asked about Kevin Pietersen's role in the star-studded panel of experts, Malik answered,"He will be one of the in-studio analysts."

ICC World T20 will be broadcast by ESPN Star Sports as a part of its eight-year agreement with the ICC.
