Afghanistan defeated Zimbabwe by 17 runs today in Sharjah to clean sweep the series 2-0. Afghanistan put on 158/9 in 20 overs after Zimbabwe asked them to bat in the second and final Twenty20 International at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Mohammad Nabi top-scored with 45 while there were significant contributions from the top-order. Tendai Chatara was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 3/20 while three others took two wickets each. In reply, Zimbabwe ended at 141/5. Afghanistan earned a comprehensive five-wicket win in the first game on Monday.
