Former coach Intikhab Alam has denied making match-fixing allegations against stumper Kamran Akmal during his deposition before a PCB inquiry committee probing the team's disastrous tour of Australia earlier this year.

"When I don't have any evidence of match-fixing why would I accuse any player?" he said. "I have at no stage accused him of match-fixing, it is all a misunderstanding," he said.

Butt dismisses fixing charges

PCB chairman Ijaz Butt has dismissed allegations of match-fixing against national team players.

On Sunday, Butt said that if any of his subordinates raises the issue of match-fixing, "he is talking nonsense."
