After a gap of seven years, Delhi (rebranded Capitals from Daredevils) will feature in an IPL playoff - this is their chance to go one better and make it to the final for the very first time. Their record so far in semifinal and playoff matches reads: P4, L4.

For Delhi, the loss of Kagiso Rabada has been galactic, they have played Trent Boult, but the impact is absent. Their batsmen need to be more consistent and factor in the meagre resources in the bowling department and now, when they will take guard in Vizag, they have to rise to the occasion.

However, the pitch in Vizag is a strange one - three of the last five IPL games here have produced first-innings totals of less than 140 and hence, if the surface is true to its name, it could well favour Sunrisers Hyderabad more than Delhi Capitals.

This is where Ricky Ponting, Sourav Ganguly and Shreyas Iyer have to be tactically smart while picking their side. Amit Mishra is a certain yes, as will be Axar Patel, but the bigger question will be the inclusion of a third genuine spinner. Will they favour Rahul Tewatia or look towards Sandeep Lamichhane? There could be a toss up between Lamichhane and Trent Boult, but the Kiwi could get the nod since he can be the perfect foil for Ishant Sharma.

Also, Chris Morris could make way for Keemo Paul, primarily because of the surface and this then gives Iyer six solid bowling options which will be quite varied in nature.

Here is a look at Delhi Capitals predicted XI for the match:

Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Colin Ingram, Sherfane Rutherford, Keemo Paul, Axar Patel, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma, Trent Boult
