England pacer Jofra Archer is back in the nets, aiming for a complete return to the sport as he was spotted sending thunderbolts to England batters at the Kensington Oval in Barbados ahead of the start of the second Test against West Indies on March 16.
Archer had suffered a fresh injury setback in December last year and had to undergo a second elbow operation which will keep him out of cricket action until the next summer.
It has been almost a year since Archer last played international cricket. The West Indies Test series was slated to be his comeback series, but with Archer going under the knife for his recurring stress fracture in his right elbow, the return of the star bowler has been delayed.
But on Tuesday morning, Archer began his proceedings for an international return as he was seen practicing with England batters in the nets.

{{/usCountry}}Speaking to Channel 7 about his rehabilitation back in December, Archer had said, "The (scan) results came back yesterday and it was quite promising, actually - everything is moving forward nicely. It's just a matter of waiting a little bit more and being a little bit more patient because I'm almost at the end of the road."
Despite the injury concern, Archer bagged a lucrative deal in the Indian Premier League where five-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians bagged the pace sensation for INR 8 crore.
“We took all those considerations. After yesterday, what all the fast bowlers went at, Jofra Archer was the only marquee pacer left in the list. So, we had discussed his name previously also. He is not available this year, when he is fit and available, with [Jasprit] Bumrah, he will make a formidable partnership,” Mumbai Indians owner Akash Ambani had said after roping the Archer on the second day of the mega auction last month.
