John Hastings, who has so far played nine T20Is for Australia, will continue to remain available for selection in the shortest format. In August, Hastings returned home after suffering a foot injury playing in English county cricket. The Victorian reported soreness in his foot during Worcestershire’s four-day match against Sussex.

Hastings made his Test debut for Australia against South Africa in November 2012, and the Test at the WACA in Perth remained his only appearance in the format.

In 29 ODIs, John Hastings claimed 42 wickets and scored 271 runs at an average of 27.10. In nine T20Is so far — including a solitary appearance in the ICC World T20 2016 match against Bangladesh — Hastings has taken seven wickets.

John Hastings made his First-Class debut for Victoria in 2007, and has also played for Worcestershire in the English County Championship earlier this year. He played a total of 75 first-class matches taking 239 wickets and scoring 11 fifties to make 2,231 runs, whereas in 113 List A games, Hastings garnered 179 wickets and 1,260 runs.
