Kerala floods: Virat Kohli, Sunil Chhetri lead appeals for help

Over 82,000 people were rescued as multiple rescue agencies including NDRF and Indian Army have shifted people from flooded areas to the several rescue camps.

Unprecedented rains have brought the state of Kerala to a standstill. Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey after announcing an interim relief fund of Rs 500 crore.

Over 82,000 people were rescued as multiple rescue agencies including NDRF and Indian Army have shifted people from flooded areas to the several rescue camps.

The Indian sporting fraternity have all come together and have asked support for the state. Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli thanked the NDRF and Army for their efforts while football captain Sunil Chhetri has asked every person to chip in with help.
