The former test batsman was struck in the side of the head by a short-pitched delivery while batting for South Australia against New South Wales in a Sheffield Shield match on Nov. 25.

The 25-year-old Hughes died two days later without regaining consciousness.

A coroner's court spokesman said Friday that a date for the inquest will be set on September 29.

Cricket Australia has already announced a review into Hughes' death and says it will share information with other authorities investigating the fatality.
