Aaliyah Alicia Alleyne is a Barbadian cricketer who represents the West Indies. Born on 11 November 1994, she is a right-handed lower-order batter and right-arm medium bowler, generally selected as a bowling all-rounder. She plays domestic cricket for Barbados and has also represented Barbados Royals in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League.
Alleyne’s route into international cricket was not conventional. She initially focused more on football and only began taking cricket seriously in her late teens. Her athleticism and pace-bowling ability stood out after she attended local trials, and strong performances in the Women’s Championship and T20 Blaze brought her to the attention of Cricket West Indies selectors.
She made her international debut against India in 2019, appearing in both the ODI and T20I series. Alleyne was quickly included in the West Indies squad for the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup. Over the subsequent years, Alleyne became a regular fixture in the West Indies squad across multi-nation events, featuring in the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup in New Zealand, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games representing Barbados.
Alleyne continued to expand her presence in domestic and franchise cricket, representing Barbados Royals Women and the Jamaica Empress Women in the Women's Caribbean Premier League. Internationally, she featured for the West Indies through major qualification and global events, including the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Pakistan, and the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in England.
During the 2026 white-ball calendar, Alleyne remained a versatile option for the West Indies across international assignments, including the T20I Tri-Series in Ireland, the bilateral ODI tour of Ireland, and the September 2026 series against Zimbabwe, where she registered bowling figures of 3 for 44 at Harare Sports Club.
