Lakshya Raichandani is a right-handed opening batter from Uttarakhand who bowls right-arm off-spin. Known for his defensive technique and shot judgment outside off-stump, he has established himself through long innings in multi-day cricket.
He made his Ranji Trophy debut for Uttarakhand during the 2025-26 domestic season. In that campaign, he scored 223 runs across five innings, registering half-centuries against Bengal (86) and Karnataka (55) in the knockouts.
Raichandani made his international youth debut for India Under-19 in July 2026 during the tour of Sri Lanka. In the first Youth Test at Galle, he scored 207 off 324 balls, building a 295-run opening partnership with Sagar Virk to help India post 576. He added a second-innings century (100 off 116 balls) in the second Youth Test at Colombo.
In September 2026, Raichandani was appointed captain for the Youth ODI series and vice-captain for the Youth Tests against Australia Under-19. During the series, he scored 110 in the third Youth ODI at Rajkot, followed by a career-best 240 off 281 balls in the first Youth Test, which set up an innings victory for India.
Lakshya is firmly established as one of India's premier young red-ball opening batters while steadily expanding his range in white-ball cricket. His technical discipline makes him a natural fit for multi-day cricket, while his evolving strokeplay gives him the tools to adapt to ODI and T20 cricket.
