Manal Chauhan is an all-action cricketer whose gritty determination and match-winning instincts have made him a vital presence in youth cricket. Chauhan is a gifted left-handed middle-order batter and a skillful slow left-arm orthodox bowler hailing from Morena, Madhya Pradesh.
His love for cricket took root during his early developmental years, where he developed a hardened competitive spirit and a deep work ethic facing tough opposition. He spent hours perfecting his left-handed technique, learning to rotate the strike through the middle overs and unleash powerful lofted strokes down the ground when acceleration was needed. Simultaneously, he honed his slow left-arm spin, learning how to deceive batters with subtle changes of trajectory, drift, and spin.
Throughout his domestic age-group campaigns, Manal built a formidable reputation across the junior circuit and invitational tournaments. Representing Madhya Pradesh across the Vijay Merchant Trophy, Vinoo Mankad Trophy, and Cooch Behar Trophy, he delivered a landmark season by accumulating 853 runs and taking 37 wickets. He repeatedly produced match-winning knocks and crucial bowling spells in high-pressure matches, earning a well-deserved call-up to the India Under-19 squad.
Manal announced his arrival on the international youth stage in dramatic fashion in July 2026 during the second Youth Test against Sri Lanka Under-19 in Galle. Batting first, India suffered a catastrophic collapse, losing both openers for zero within the opening overs. Arriving in the middle with the innings in tatters, Manal produced a masterclass in counter-attacking batting. He struck a stunning maiden youth Test century and converted it into an epic 150 runs off 244 balls, building a 155-run partnership with Kushagra Ojha to rescue the innings and propel India to an imposing total of 411, setting up a crushing victory.
His excellent form continued into September 2026, where he was selected for the India Under-19 squad to take on Australia Under-19 in Rajkot. Demonstrating his multi-dimensional value, Manal contributed with both bat and ball throughout the Youth ODI series - including a restrictive three-wicket haul in the final fixture - helping India complete an emphatic series sweep over the Australians.
