Syed Aziz

Syed Aziz is an international cricketer and the captain of the Malaysia National Cricket Team. Operating as an explosive left-handed batting all-rounder, Aziz is widely regarded as one of the most destructive and impactful Associate nation cricketers of his generation, holding foundational records in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket.

Since making his international debut for Malaysia in June 2019 against Thailand, Aziz has evolved from a middle-order anchor into a devastating top-order linchpin and captain. Known for his aggressive strike rotation and immense clearing ability, he is highly capable of single-handedly taking games away from opponents in powerplay overs. As a bowler, his handy right-arm medium pace provides critical strategic flexibility during the middle overs.

Aziz stands as an exceptionally durable asset for Malaysian cricket, highlighted by his record for the second-most consecutive T20I matches played for a single team globally (120 matches). Furthermore, he has turned Kuala Lumpur into a personal fortress, ranking 4th in international cricket history for the most T20I runs scored on a single ground.
