Virandeep Singh

Virandeep Singh is an international cricketer and the former captain of the Malaysia National Cricket Team. Functioning as a world-class right-handed batting and slow left-arm orthodox bowling all-rounder, he stands as arguably the most statistically accomplished cricketer in Malaysian history, holding several global records in T20 International (T20I) cricket.

Since his T20I debut against Thailand in June 2019, Virandeep has anchored the Malaysian team with his supreme all-round technical brilliance. As a top-order batsman, his combination of risk-free accumulation and explosive power makes him the centerpiece of Malaysia’s batting lineup. He is incredibly versatile, having occasionally taken up the wicketkeeping gloves and frequently opening both the batting and bowling.

Globally, Virandeep is an Associate cricket icon. He holds the extraordinary record for the most Player of the Match awards in T20I history (24 awards), demonstrating his immense impact on winning games. His exceptional consistency is further validated by his speed in crossing run-scoring milestones, placing him among the top 10 fastest players globally to reach 1,000, 2,000, and 3,000 T20I runs.

His undeniable skill has earned him draft call-ups across global T20 franchise leagues, representing the Sharjah Warriorz (ILT20), Surrey Jaguars (GT20 Canada), and the Galle Gallants (LPL). He also made history by becoming the lone Associate nation cricketer to make the final auction shortlist for the Indian Premier League.
