Winifred Anne Duraisingam is one of the most experienced players in Malaysian women’s cricket and has long served as a key all-rounder and leader for the national side. A right-handed top-order batter and right-arm medium pacer, she made her official T20I debut against India at the 2018 Women’s T20 Asia Cup. Holding T20I Cap No. 1, she served as Malaysia's captain in that inaugural fixture, becoming the first player to lead the country in an official T20 International.
Duraisingam’s association with Malaysian cricket dates back much further, having represented the country at the Under-19 level before progressing into the senior setup. She captained Malaysia’s U-19 team in 2010 and later took on the full-time senior leadership, while also enjoying success in domestic cricket, notably scoring an unbeaten 61 in the 2019–20 Malaysian Super Women League final to help Northern Queens lift the title.
On the international stage, Duraisingam has registered a career-best T20I score of 73 runs alongside best bowling figures of 3 wickets for 9 runs. However, she scored her maiden T20I fifty back in 2019, against Singapore. Under her captaincy, Malaysia achieved historic regional success at the 2023 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Phnom Penh, securing both a Silver Medal in the 50-over event and a Bronze Medal in the T20I tournament.
She has also gained franchise experience beyond Malaysia, featuring for the Tornadoes in the inaugural FairBreak Invitational T20 in Dubai in 2022. A longstanding pillar of the national team, Duraisingam continued to lead Malaysia at major multi-sport events, guiding the team to back-to-back Asian Games quarter-final appearances in both Hangzhou and the 2026 Asian Games.
