The player was fielding at mid on and took his eyes off after a shot by Pankaj Singh took a bad bounce. Ojha was hit on the back of his head. After being attended on the field, he was taken to hospital.

As per requirements, the ambulance should be stationed just outside the boundary. But there is no provision for that at the stadium where the Duleep Trophy matches are being played. However, the vehicle was parked within the premises and Ojha was stretchered out of the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground

The Hyderabad player underwent a CT scan at a nearby hospital, officials said.

A BCCI official later said Ojha was conscious and talking, but was being kept in the hospital for observation. The CT scan was done as he had suffered slight concussion, but there was no concern, he added.
