The England captain has admitted that his side's eight-wicket loss in the rain-affected third ODI on Friday was 'humiliating' and 'embarrassing'.

England were routed for a modest 117 in 41.3 overs in a match reduced to 44 overs-a-side by rain and West Indies needed only 14.4 overs to clinch victory and take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. But Strauss believes that England can recover quickly and throw themselves a lifeline in the series.

"My experience with England is that when we put in these kinds of performances, we always bounce back pretty well," he said.

"I think we need to dig pretty deep and find a way of making sure we get over the line next time, and give absolutely everything and come off the field with a victory. If two or three of us can do this, we have a very good chance of winning."
