Gurmeet Ram Rahim, leader of the religious sect Dera Sacha Sauda, claimed in a recent interview that his advice had a role to play in the Indian skipper’s success.

“He (Virat Kohli) was unable to convert good starts into big scores. I suggested him to practice hard and continue learning,” said Ram Rahim in an interview to Bollywood gossip blog Spotboye.

Ram Rahim also said that the star Indian batsman thanked the Baba after getting selected for the Indian cricket team.

Virat Kohli on Friday became the first batsman to score four double centuries in four successive series after he went past the 200-run mark in the one-off Test against Bangladesh in Hyderabad.
