WI vs SL, 1st ODI: Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first against Kieron Pollard's West Indies.
The first ODI of a three-match series between Sri Lanka and West Indies at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Wednesday was won by the hosts. West Indies earned a comfortable eight-wicket win with Shai Hope hitting a century. There was a interesting incident during the match as Sri Lankan opening batsman Danushka Gunathilaka was dismissed for obstructing the field. This happened only for the eighth time in the history of ODI cricket.
