Earlier in the day, governor K K Paul and chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat received the Prime Minister at the Jolly Grant airport. After a brief stopover, a special helicopter flew him to Mussoorie, sources in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.

“Modi is the second Prime Minister after the late Indira Gandhi, who will spend so much time with IAS probationers,” a senior IAS officer said.

“During his two-day stay at the academy, Modi will interact with three groups of IAS probationers separately,” a spokesperson for the chief minister said. “He is also likely to address the IAS probationers.”

On the first day, the Prime Minister will interact with one group of IAS probationers and, the second day, he will interact with the other group. “Besides, he will also have lunch and dinner with IAS probationers,” the CMO official said.
