Twelve men, allegedly members of the terror organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), were detained by the Delhi Police Special Cell following raids across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in the last few days. Three of the suspects are likely to be arrested.

In what police are calling a major breakthrough, the suspects were picked up from Inderpuri, Bhajanpura and Chand Bagh in Delhi and from Deoband in Uttar Pradesh. According to sources, they were found in possession of explosives.
Sources in the Delhi Police said the men were being interrogated at the Special Cell office at Lodhi Colony while raiding operations are still being conducted in western Uttar Pradesh.
Two of the suspects have been identified as Mazahir and Tahir.
The Delhi Police have been receiving inputs of a possible terror attack in Delhi following the Pathankot attack in January. India blames the JeM for the brazen ambush of the air force base at Pathankot that left seven security personnel dead. A Pakistan joint investigation team recently visited India to gather evidence regarding the attack.
