DU boy sends message of peace through music video, highlights Ramjas clash

Aniket Dhingra, a student of Ramjas College, hopes to spread the message of peace through his music video that highlights ABVP and AISA clash at Ramjas College.

Among the recent violence, hate spewed at Ramjas College, Delhi University (DU) and the clashes between the student political parties– ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) and AISA (All India Students Association), something beautiful did spawn. What was it? A Ramjas-boy created a mash-up video of Befikre’s song, Nashe si chad gayi, Ed Sheeran’s number, Shape of You, to spread the message of peace and harmony.

Aniket Dhingra, a second year student of the college was in the midst of all the commotion when the incident took place and even helped his friends to safety, making sure that no one was hurt. This incident stirred a whirlpool of emotions inside him and prompted him to make a video that spreads peace. “I saw all the violence, and at that very moment I decided that the message of love and peace should be conveyed to everyone through my music,” says Dhingra. “Before being a member of ABVP, AISA or being an Indian or a Pakistani, we are human beings. Let us not fight and waste our life. We need to keep our political beliefs aside and learn to love.”
