Delhi Police has raised the reward from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh for anyone providing any clue that could help in finding JNU student Najeeb Ahmad, who has been missing for over a month.

Police had initially announced a reward of Rs 50,000 which was increased to Rs 1 lakh, and then to Rs 2 lakh before being raised to Rs 5 lakh.
Ahmad, a Biotechnology student, went missing on October 15 after an alleged altercation with members from RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. An internal enquiry has found some ABVP members guilty of beating Ahmad but no action has been taken yet.
A SIT was formed last month to trace the missing student on the directive of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to Delhi Police. The case was later transferred to Delhi Police’s Crime Branch.
