A Delhi court on Friday sent two businessmen to Tihar jail. They were arrested for allegedly siphoning off crores in fitness tests of commercial vehicles in conspiracy with officials from the transport department.

RTI activist Vivek Garg had lodged a complaint alleging that the contract for lane test of commercial vehicles before grant of fitness certificates was granted to ESP India without inviting any tender.
The Anti-Corruption Branch on February 25 arrested Nitin Mahawat, director of ESP India, and Puran Chand Tamta, CEO of ESP India' alliance partner's Tambros India Ltd.
