  CUET UG Result 2024 Live: Results likely by late July or early August, says Jamia VC

  CUET UG Result 2024 Live: CUET UG result is expected by late July or in the first week of August, Jamia Millia Islamia Officiating Vice-Chancellor Shakeel Ahmed said earlier this week.

  Ahmed also informed that there will be a slight delay in admissions in the university but there would be no impact on the academic or semester calendar.

  The Jamia VC held a meeting of the deans of all schools on Thursday to discuss the delay in the CUET UG result.

  "We had a meeting with the deans and have reached categorical conclusions (on CUET). In recent years, the admission process has experienced delays. There is a hope that a retest of CUET UG will be conducted. By the end of July or the first week of August, the results should be released," Ahmed said.

  "Although our admission process will be slightly delayed, it will not be as prolonged as in previous years. Importantly, there will be no impact on the academic or semester calendar," he added.

  Speaking to ANI, the Delhi University Vice-Chancellor earlier this week said, "…The result has not been declared, but it will come very soon. After that, we will start our counselling. But there will be a delay of about 2 weeks."

  "I am hopeful that 1st year classes, where we are making admission through CUET, will be held by August 16-17. But we are starting our regular semester for 2nd and 3rd-year students, B.Tech students and law fifth-year students on August 1. So, there will be a slight delay but we will cover up that delay. We will cover that as well. There is no need to worry. I would like to appeal to our students to have a positive outlook," he said.

  CUET UG Result 2024 Live: JNU Vice-Chancellor Santishree D. Pandit on Friday said that the deans of the respective schools and the faculty will take the decision to hold weekend classes to cover the syllabus due to the delay in starting the new academic session amid the delayed CUET-UG results if necessary.

  She added that the varsity administration will not interfere in the matter and will leave it to the discretion of the faculty and the heads of the departments to decide what is necessary.

  "Whether or not JNU will hold any such thing is a decision which will be completely based on what the faculty and the deans of the schools decide. It is they who teach the students and better know how to cover up the delay. We will have no say in this. They can decide what is suitable for them and students," she said.

  CUET UG Result 2024 Live: In CUET UG, each question carries five marks, and it will be awarded for the correct answer. One mark will be deducted (-1) in the case of an incorrect answer, and no mark will be awarded or deducted (0) for unattempted questions. However, there are some exceptions:

  • In a situation when more than one answer to a question is found correct, five marks will be awarded to those who have marked any of the correct options.
  • If all options are correct, five marks will be awarded to those who have attempted the question.
  • If none of the options is correct or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the question will get five marks for it.
