Goa Election: Dabolim Assembly Constituency 2022

Dabolim is one of the 40 Goa Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the South Goa district. Goa Assembly Election 2022 for Dabolim was held on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.

In Goa Assembly Election 2017, there were 22,650 registered voters for Dabolim assembly seat, out of which 11,463 were male and 11,187 were female voters. 0.7% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In 2017, 9 candidates were contesting for Dabolim assembly constituency seat. Dabolim was one of 13 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Mauvin Heliodoro Godinho won the election by defeating Maharashtrawadi Gomantak's Premanand Nanoskar by a margin of 2,494 votes.

85.1% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Mauvin Heliodoro Godinho grabbed a total of 7,234 votes, while Maharashtrawadi Gomantak's Premanand Nanoskar got 4,740 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Francisco Jose Nunes bagged 2,752 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 41.8%, 27.4% and 15.9% respectively.

In Goa Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Mauvin Heliodoro Godinho beat Maharashtrawadi Gomantak's Premanand Nanoskar by 944 votes.
