Goa Election: Siroda Assembly Constituency 2022

Siroda comes under the North Goa district and it is one of the 40 Goa Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Siroda voted for Goa Assembly Election 2022 on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.

Siroda assembly constituency had 28,265 electors in 2017, out of which 13,763 were male voters and 14,502 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.7% votes.

What happened last time

In the 2017 Goa Legislative Assembly Election, there were 6 candidates in the fray from Siroda constituency. Siroda was one of 17 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Indian National Congress's Subhash Ankush Shirodkar won the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Mahadev Narayan Naik by a margin of 4,870 votes.

95.2% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Indian National Congress's Subhash Ankush Shirodkar grabbed a total of 11,156 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Mahadev Narayan Naik got 6,286 votes. Maharashtrawadi Gomantak's candidate Abhay Ramchandra Prabhu bagged 5,815 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 45.7%, 25.7% and 23.8% respectively.

In Goa Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Mahadev Narayan Naik beat Indian National Congress's Subhash Ankush Shirodkar by 2,262 votes.
