Karnataka Election: Gubbi Assembly Constituency 2023

What happened last time

In the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election, there were 14 candidates in the fray from Gubbi constituency. Gubbi was one of 37 seats won by the Janata Dal (Secular). Janata Dal (Secular)'s S R Srinivas (VASU) won the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's G N Bettaswamy by a margin of 9,081 votes.

The top three candidates split 85.6% of votes between them. Janata Dal (Secular)'s S R Srinivas (VASU) secured a total of 55,572 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's G N Bettaswamy got 46,491 votes. Independent candidate S D Dilip Kumar (SHIVASANDRA) bagged 30,528 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 35.9%, 30.0% and 19.7% respectively.

In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Janata Dal (Secular)'s S R Shrinivas (VASU) defeated Karnataka Jantha Paksha's G.N. Bettaswamy by 7,244 votes.
