National People's Party's Langpoklakpam Jayantakumar Singh grabbed a total of 10,000 votes, while Indian National Congress's Laisom Ibomcha Singh got 6,739 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Rajkumar Shivachandra Singh bagged 5,003 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 43.7%, 29.4% and 21.8% respectively.
In Manipur Assembly election 2012, Nationalist Congress Party's L. Ibomcha Singh beat Indian National Congress's Langpoklakpam Jayantakumar Singh by 1,459 votes.
