Biren Singh got a total of 12,339 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Khongbantabam Ibomcha got 11,487 votes. Communist Party Of India's candidate Huirem Bimol grabbed 1,712 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 48.3%, 45.0% and 6.7% respectively.
