Manipur Election: Tipaimukh (st) Assembly Constituency 2022

Tipaimukh (st) comes under the Churuchandpur district and it is one of the 60 Manipur Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Tipaimukh (st) voted for Manipur Assembly Election 2022 on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.

Tipaimukh (st) assembly constituency had 17,862 electors in 2017, out of which 9,041 were male voters and 8,821 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.1% votes.

What happened last time

In the 2017 Manipur Legislative Assembly Election, there were 5 candidates in the fray from Tipaimukh (st) constituency. Tipaimukh (st) was one of 28 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Indian National Congress's Dr. Chaltonlien Amo won the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Dr. Lallukhum Fimate by a margin of 626 votes.

The top three candidates split 98.0% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Dr. Chaltonlien Amo got a total of 4,997 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Dr. Lallukhum Fimate secured 4,371 votes. National People's Party's candidate Ngursanglur Sanate grabbed the third spot with 2,167 votes. The top three parties got 42.4%, 37.1% and 18.4% respectively.

In Manipur Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Dr.Chaltonlien Amo outperformed All India Trinamool Congress's Dr . Lalumkhum Fimate by 912 votes.
