All India Trinamool Congress's Ardhendu Maity got a total of 1,11,201 votes, while Indian National Congress's Hemangshu Shekhar Mahapatra got 79,258 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Prasanta Panda grabbed 7,802 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 54.5%, 38.8% and 3.8% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Ardhendu Maity beat Samajwadi Party's Ranajit Manna by 8,997 votes.
