All India Trinamool Congress's Subhash Mondal got a total of 92,544 votes, while Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Bamacharan Banerjee secured 86,264 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Anjan Mukherjee secured 12,950 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 47.4%, 44.2% and 6.6% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Banamali Hazra defeated Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Konar Srijit by 298 votes.
