All India Trinamool Congress's Brajamohan Majumder got a total of 93,689 votes, while Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Arindam Basu (BABU) secured 77,495 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Sahana Guha Ray secured 16,277 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 48.7%, 40.3% and 8.5% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Brajamohan Majumder outperformed Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Krishna Kisor Ray(K.K.RAY) by 31,422 votes.
