Keshiary is one of the 294 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Paschim Medinipur district. People of Keshiary voted for West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 on March 27 and the result was declared on May 2.
Keshiary assembly constituency had 2,17,188 electors in 2016, out of which 1,11,111 were male voters and 1,06,077 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 1.4% votes.
In the 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Election, there were 6 candidates in the fray from Keshiary constituency. Keshiary was one of 211 seats won by the Communist Party Of India (Marxist). It was a one way contest with All India Trinamool Congress's Paresh Murmu comfortably winning the election upstaging Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Biram Mandi by a huge margin of 40,749 votes.
88.4% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. All India Trinamool Congress's Paresh Murmu got a total of 1,04,890 votes, while Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Biram Mandi got 64,141 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Binod Bihari Murmu grabbed 18,056 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 54.9%, 33.5% and 9.4% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Biram Mandi defeated All India Trinamool Congress's Shyam Charan Mandi by 1,037 votes.
