West Bengal Election: Sankrail Assembly Constituency 2022

Sankrail comes under the Haora district and it is one of the 294 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Sankrail voted for West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 on April 10 and the result was declared on May 2.

In West Bengal Assembly Election 2016, there were 2,43,251 registered voters for Sankrail assembly seat, out of which 1,27,067 were male and 1,16,181 were female voters. 0.9% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In 2016, 8 candidates were contesting for Sankrail assembly constituency seat. Sankrail was one of 211 seats won by the Communist Party Of India (Marxist). All India Trinamool Congress's Sital Kumar Sardar won the election by defeating Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Samir Malick by a margin of 14,757 votes.

The top three candidates split 97.4% of votes between them. All India Trinamool Congress's Sital Kumar Sardar got a total of 86,212 votes, while Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Samir Malick secured 71,455 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Probhakar Pandit grabbed the third spot with 28,006 votes. The top three parties got 45.2%, 37.5% and 14.7% respectively.

In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Sital Kumar Sardar beat Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Dr. Anirban Hazra by 17,857 votes.
