Actor Luv Sinha has had a very unconventional film career. He has done two films till date, is in talks for more, and also dabbled with politics. Like many Bollywood actors over the past years, who have fought in elections, he was a candidate in the Bihar elections in 2020.

Actor Luv Sinha is the son of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha.

He maintains that acting and politics both hold equal importance for him. “For me, politics is not a joke, it’s not for a break or vacation. I have always said, acting is my profession, politics is my duty,” he says.

Sinha continues to explain his stint so far, “Before I had even left for the elections, I was aware it’s going to be a tough fight. I didn’t go there completely disillusioned about the outcome. In any competition, there are two results, you either win or you don’t. In my case, I was aware of that. The best part is that even after coming in and fighting my first election, the results were good for first time candidate. It was done within 18 days, while other candidates have been there for 15 years.”

His dream role, he adds, is that from his father’s 1978 hit Vishwanath. “It wouldn’t be a remake, but re-adaptation of it,” he says.
