After playing noted characters across industries, including Hollywood, veteran actor Vineet Kumar says once he is done with a project he completely forgets about it and just moves on.

“I never let characters stay with me, once my work is done in any project, I just toss it in a bin and close the chapter. For me my journey is the life I have lived, not the roles that I have played. I give my all as a performer for any role but it’s just in that moment never beyond that,” said Masaan and Shool actor.
Known for his unique style of acting, Vineet has a career of over 30 years. “In 70’s I was busy in students’ politics and was also part of JP Movement. Theatre gave me that peace of mind and I got a chance to explore it. I graduated from National School of Drama and reached Mumbai. I got a break with Govind Nihalani’s Droh Kaal and rest is history. Today, I work as per my wish, but my industry friends just don’t let me sit back for example, my recent series Maharani was on behest of the makers.”
Talking about the changes the industry has undergone, Kachche Dhaage actor says, “Not only industry but the entire country has undergone a big change over the decades and I don’t find it all very positive. Sadly, our industry that took all adversities standing together has got divided too. This actually saddens me. But what peps me up is the way women of our country continue shine, it’s admirable and I think next 20 years belong to the female of this country.”
His last released film Ram Prasad ki Tehrvi got him to Lucknow. “I’m from Bihar and find Uttar Pradesh very close to it in terms of lifestyle. But Lucknow ki baat alag hai, a delightful city it is for sure,” he concluded.
