Jay Bhanushali recalls wedding with Mahhi Vij: ‘Invited everyone, but no one came as they thought I was a casanova’

Jay Bhanushali has said that people could not believe he was getting married, and therefore did not turn up at his wedding with Mahhi Vij.

Jay Bhanushali has revealed that when he decided to marry Mahhi Vij, and invited everyone, no one turned up because they thought he is a casanova. In a recent episode of India's Best Dancer 3, Jay watched a dance performance that made him open up about his own love story, calling Mahhi his ‘first girlfriend’. ()

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali got married in 2010.

After watching a contestant perform to Udd Ja Kale Kawan on the show, Jay said, "I met Mahhi when I went clubbing. And three months was enough for me to know that Mahhi is the girl I want to marry. She was my first girlfriend. I had a principle that I'd get into a relationship, when I genuinely feel she is the girl I want to marry and spend the rest of my life with. Within three months, I decided that I would get into a relationship. On December 31st 2009, I proposed to her, and in 2010, we got married. I invited everyone, but no one arrived as everyone thought I was a casanova."

Jay added that he could give up his life for her, and said that this emotional side is the one he never wanted to show to his wife Mahhi. Judge Sonali Bendre hugged Jay after he talked about his personal life.

Jay is the host on India's Best Dancer. The show has actor Sonali Bendra, and choreographers Terrence Lewis and Geeta Kapur on the judges' panel.

Jay and Mahhi got married in 2010. They are parents to three children – they welcomed daughter Tara via IVF in 2019. Before that, they had also announced that they have become foster parents to two kids – Rajveer and Khushi.
