Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding celebrations have begun in Mumbai since this afternoon. The groom, Akash Ambani with his family - Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani-Piramal, Anant Ambani were also spotted in shades of pink. Anand Piramal, who married Isha Ambani in December last year was seen in a pastel kurta-pyjama set with an embroidered jacket in the same shade.
Isha Ambani, whose outfits often stand out in the crowd, is wearing a lovely baby pink lehenga for her twin brother’s wedding. The beauty of her all the looks we’ve spotted on her is that she doesn’t overdo it, knows how to accessorise, hence keeping it sophisticated. At her wedding and the functions which preceded and followed her big day, she wore a mix of Indian and international designer labels, namely Valentino who created a rich custom gold and ivory lehenga for her Mumbai reception and also chose ethnic looks created by the likes of Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra and Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.
The details on Nita Ambani’s lehenga are intricate and classy. She is wearing an embroidered lehenga on a base of deep pink. The embroidery seems like a blend of Kashida (Kashmiri embroidery) and the phool patti ka kaam as seen in Uttar Pradesh. She is sporting her look with elegant diamond jewellery. The interesting work on her blouse has caught our eye, reads “ shubh aarambh” in Devanagri script and has the to-be weds, Akash and Shloka’s names mentioned on either side. Such a wonderful way to bless the new couple, who will be tying the knot in a few hours from now.
