If your wedding is around the corner, get inspired by these classy ensembles worn by these Bollywood divas.

Be it Kareena Kapoor’s crop top and sharara from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, (2001) or Manisha Koirala’s beautiful plain white lehenga with golden border from Bombay(1995)—Bollywood has always been a trendsetter. These outfits created quite a rage and topped the style charts in their time. But hey, who says they’re outdated for today’s fashion spectacle? Here are some cues on how you can wear the iconic ensembles for your wedding festivities.

Manisha Koirala in the movie Bombay

The song Kehna Hi Kya from Bombay saw Manisha Koirala dance in a plain white lehenga with a sweetheart-neck corset teamed with a green choker. Create a similar look with dramatic eyes and a scoop-neck blouse. This could be a good pick for pre-wedding functions like haldi and sangeet.

Mudhubala in Mughal-e-Azam
Kajol in DDLJ

This iconic green lungi-style lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra for the song, Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge can be teamed with a choker, earrings and a jutti. Ditch the jacket from this look and opt for soft smoky eyes and nude lips. You can opt for this look for your mehendi.

Madhuri Dixit in Hum Apke Hai Kaun

While Madhuri and Salman fought over the groom’s shoes, the audience just loved her subtle green and white lehenga ensemble. Ditch the cone embellished neckline and opt for a choker to go with the look. You can experiment with the corset colour as well.

Kareena Kapoor in K3G

The asymmetric crop top teamed with a sharara in baby pink stole many hearts and become a hot seller. You can opt for the same look at your friend’s or sister’s wedding this season. Go for silver jewellery and a maang-tikka just like Bebo.

Priety Zinta in Veer Zaara

The asymmetric crop top teamed with a sharara in baby pink stole many hearts and become a hot seller. You can opt for a similar look for the pre-wedding functions like sangeet and cocktail. We suggest, go for silver jewellery and a maang-tika just like Bebo.

Madhuri and Aishwarya in Devdas

Though a white and red attire is a must when it comes to Bengali brides, this trend hit the mainstream style charts as we saw Madhuri and Aishwarya dance to the song Dola re. Ditch a lehenga and opt for a sari draped like this one for the next wedding you attend.
