The hair transition that Bollywood beauties make have a lot of inspiration in store.
The hair transition that Bollywood beauties make have a lot of inspiration in store.

They might have an army of makeup and hair artists travelling with them across oceans, but inspiration is free of charge! How many times does it happen that you look at a celeb picture and go, “Oh! I wish I could have her hair (but only if I didn’t have to spend the day at office!)...” Well, don’t fret and style smart. You can shift from looking fabulous at work and switch to a formal do (or a party-ready mane) with a few easy tricks. From a bed-head bob that’ll look fresh for a brunch with your buddies, to chocolate-hued tumbling waves that curl like a dream, the possibilities are endless. The important thing to remember is that no haircut or style can limit you if you have the right way to go around it. So, choose your favourite among these Bollywood beauties and pick what you love, ladies.

Prachi Desai goes from a fuss-free bob to a sleek version of it. We like both!! (Photo: Yogen Shah)

There are not many women in Bollywood who go for a short crop, so we’re already sold on Prachi Desai’s hair! We also love how she transitions from a day look to an evening one. So, if you thought you can’t do much with your bob, here’s inspiration. Use a hot wand to curl your mane, or just run the iron through your hair for a slick, glossy finish.

Sonam Kapoor often makes a middle-part transition for her mane (Photos: Yogen Shah; Girish Srivastav)

Taking the middle part might be a classic way to do your hair up, but there’s a fun way around it and a done-to-death variant. While both of Sonam Kapoor’s looks are on-duty, there are style lessons to be learnt here. The half-up look (left) is perfect for a cocktail do, while the old-school mane (on the right) might work for a family dinner. Which transition do you like?

Jacqueline Fernandez has a strong braid game, and a fuss-free, party-ready style, too (Photos: Yogen Shah; Girish Srivastav)

Here’s another transit-do that we are loving. The braid is not only gym-ready but it also works across occasions: from a summer’s day at work, to even a casual date with the ladies. Jacqueline Fernandez’s transition into half-up, understyled hair not only gets in some inspiration but it’s also super easy to pull off. Who needs stylists?

Parineeti Chopra styles her waves in occasion-perfect ways (Photo: Yogen Shah )

We like the subtle change of styling here. While the waves stay the same, the intensity changes. Parineeti Chopra transitions from freewheeling, natural wavy (right) to glossing it up with clear-cut waves that tumble down with glamour. And of course, under the flashlight, the colour adds oomph. Here’s the perfect example of going from
work to workin’-it-out-at-the-club.
