It’s no secret that Alia Bhatt wears everything we want to wear. And the actor’s style on Wednesday was no exception. It doesn’t get more summer dress-like than Alia’s latest ensemble by Delhi-based designer Nakita Singh: The Brahmastra actor turned heads in a romantic two-piece look at the party filmmaker Karan Johar threw for his twins Roohi and Yash’s first birthday.
We love the sexiness of the plunging neckline paired with the sweetness of the white and powder blue print on Alia’s effortlessly gorgeous knee-length dress, in the prettiest pink hue. The colour was punchy but still subtle enough to work as a neutral, making it an easy choice no matter the occasion.
But it’s her on-point, matching jacket — which gave the look a fun and unexpected style — that we’re particularly infatuated with. This Alia ensemble demonstrated how there’s something very elegant and cool about a floor-length coat or jacket over a pretty dress.
This look is proof positive that ultra-casual to cocktail-hour outfits alike get major style points when paired with a standout jacket.
To complete the look, Alia chose minimal make-up — tousled waves, baby pink lips and some blush on the cheeks — and matching strappy heels, with metallic finish.
When it comes to girly dresses, it seems Alia can’t get enough. In recent months, she has worn a number of flattering dresses with a flowy silhouette, as seen above.
For a playful, effortless vibe, you could wear your single-hued frock with sneaker. For a more dressy style, add statement accessories — a bag, jewellery or sunglasses — and voila! Heads will turn.
