Brazilian football great Ronaldinho has denied reports in the media that he is set to marry two women at the same time at his home in Rio de Janeiro this August.
“The whole world is calling me, I’m not going to get married. It’s the biggest lie,” the former Barcelona star told Brazil’s SporTV in response to the reports.
Earlier, Brazilian newspaper O Diahad reported that Ronaldinho’s wedding ceremony will be a rare form of three-person civil union.
Bigamy, which is illegal in Brazil, has punishment by up to six years in jail. It had been further reported that the wedding would simply be a ceremony with two women and won’t be registered as two marriages .
The former FIFA World Player of the Year has been linked to Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza and local media reported that the duo has been staying with him since December.
Ronaldinho had started dating Coelho first around 2013, before meeting Souza in 2016, according to the reports.
