Bengaluru FC were beaten 2-1 by Chennaiyin FC Indian Super League in a tightly contested match in Bangalore. Chennaiyin took the lead in the first half courtesy of Jeje Lalpekhlua, who slotted home after just five to give the away fans something to cheer about. Bengaluru constantly threatened and were finally rewarded five minutes before time when skipper Sunil Chhetri scored the equaliser. However, their celebrations were short-lived as Dhanpal Ganesh scored the winner just three minutes later.
