A village football club in England named North Ferriby United may not have had a strong presence on the football scene, but a hilarious tweet from the club’s official Twitter account went viral when they posted about ‘signing’ of Brazilian star Neymar on Thursday.

While the football fraternity is completely engrossed in Neymar’s move from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint Germain in a world record deal of €222million, it was the Twitter account of North Ferriby United which garnered a great deal of attention as their tweet became quite famous among the Twitter users.
In their tweet, North Ferriby United claimed to have pipped Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of the Brazilian footballer, and it also contained a morphed spoof picture of Neymar in the village club’s football kit.

The Yorkshire club, North Ferriby United, saw their tweet getting close to 18,000 retweets and more than 28,000 likes.

However, according to belfasttelegraph.co.uk, the season ticket price which the club shared in the tweet on Neymar looked a tad too much, since it has been relegated from National League last season and have a football stadium with a sitting capacity of only 3,000.
Nevertheless, the North Ferriby United’s Twitter handlers certainly enjoyed their spoof.
