Festival-goers moved fluidly between stages, culinary experiences, and art installations, finding their own rhythm within a lineup that bridged rock legacy, contemporary global pop, underground electronic sounds, and the strongest voices from India’s independent music scene.
Headlining the night were the legendary Linkin Park, marking both their debut at Lollapalooza India and a long-awaited return to Mumbai. The band delivered a commanding, career-spanning set that seamlessly wove together iconic anthems such as Numb, In the End, Crawling and Faint with newer material including The Emptiness Machine and Heavy Is the Crown.
The performance culminated in a powerful collective moment, as tens of thousands of voices merged into a single chorus, creating one of the most emotionally charged highlights of the weekend. Addressing the crowd, Mike Shinoda expressed gratitude for the unwavering support the band has received over the years, acknowledging both longtime fans and those embracing their new music, and thanking the audience for their patience and persistent calls for the band’s return.
Earlier in the evening, Kehlani brought a sense of understated soul to the stage with Nights Like This, while pop favourites LANY drew widespread singalongs with Malibu Nights. UK bass artist Sammy Virji transformed his set into a high-energy dance experience with Daga Da, and Calum Scott delivered an emotionally resonant performance led by You Are the Reason. Global collective Nubiyan Twist and electronic duo BUNT, further expanded the sonic landscape, engaging audiences with Lights Out and Clouds respectively.
